The weather was hot and sunny and the crowd was large for the 21st annual Polski Dzien Polish Days celebration which was held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in downtown Bremond, Texas. As always, the day began with the Polish Pickle 5K Run at 8 AM followed by the Kids K Run. There were plenty of runners for each event. Following the running, a raffle drawing was held and awards were handed out to the winners of the 20th annual Polish Pickle Run.

At 10 AM the parade made its way from St. Mary's Church to downtown led by parade marshall and Bremond native, Monsignor Isidore Rozycki. There were lots of floats, horses, motorcycles, vintage cars, fire trucks and people in the parade. Main street was lined with vendors and food booths. The women from St. Mary's were serving delicious pierogi and the new Wasik's Store had some good kielbasa.

There were horseshoe, washer and domino games and lots of other activities throughout the day. A Polka Mass was held in the evening and a dance finished off the long day. Below is a slide show of some of the activities.
