Disapointed!February 24, 2010 A. Moss(Dallas, GA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I read the review and decided to purchase this book since it had such great reviews. I read the book from front to back in a matter of hours. This book could have been a pamplet. It repeats itself over and over and can be sumed up by saying eat atleast 40grams a day of fiber and you will lose weight. Not much of a diet considering there is no meal plan. Is very similar to eat this not that. It lists food that have fiber in it and tells you how to add fiber to everyday meals. It was a good concept but they should have put more into it.
Don't get this if:
You are looking for meal plans,
Looking for an exercise tips,
Recipes
Etc....
Fantastic way to make incremental changes!February 17, 2010 A. Grassini(Austin, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Losing weight is bear--the older we get, the harder it seems. Being on a "diet" for ever seems so demoralizing. Finally here is a book that should not have "diet" in its title at all, but that can help us make incremental changes that are beneficial to our health and that help trim down the weight. In conjunction with the awareness built in a book like "French Women Don't Get Fat", this book provides a great way to change our eating habits while keeping a taste for life. I have really enjoyed the idea of "adding" things to my life...bring on the berries! I also like that this book allows people to make incremental changes and that the recipes are flexibile, creative, and easy to improvise. My husband is also reaping the benefits because we are lowering the amount of fat in our diet.
