The Fabulous Polkasonics at Wahlburg RestaurantYou’d normally expect to find German music at a German restaurant, especially during the Oktoberfest celebration, but on Friday night, October 16, 2009, patrons of the Walhburg Restaurant in the little town of Wahlburg, Texas were treated to a fun evening of traditional old time Polish polka, waltz and oberek music. The large dinner crowd really seemed to enjoy the lively Polish music played by The Fabulous Polkasonics.

Polish-American musician Bradley Jaye Williams heads up The Fabulous Polkasonics and plays concertina and trumpet. Joining him on Friday evening were his friends Tim Walsh (formerly with Brave Combo) playing the clarinet and saxophone, Rob Jewett on the upright bass and Jarid Craig on drums. Later in the evening, well known Austin musician Mark Rubin sat in on the upright bass for a few songs.
